Jacqueline Samira started Howdy.com with a big vision, a lot of grit, and a deep belief in people. Growing up with a computer engineer mom, she initially steered away from tech, choosing to study economics and chasing Wall Street dreams. But when the 2008 financial crisis flipped her plans upside down, she pivoted into start-up tech sales—and crushed it, leading top-performing revenue teams at venture-backed companies, gaining a reputation for being a top tier leader and executive.
By 2018, Jacqueline had identified a huge problem: the U.S. was running low on tech talent. But she also saw a solution—amazing software engineers weren’t just in Silicon Valley; they were thriving across Latin America. That’s when she launched Howdy.com, a company built to connect top Latin American engineers with U.S. businesses.
Jacqueline was joined by her CTO and co-founder Frank Licea and the two of them took the company through Y-Combinator's world-class program.
Together they've turned Howdy.com into one of the fastest growing recruitment companies in the U.S., and a leader in building the world's first AI-enabled development workforce.
Howdy.com is redefining how companies hire global engineering talent, future-proofing engineering teams, and demonstrating that in a connected world, great talent has no borders.
