In the Providencia neighborhood sits the bright and cozy Chilean Howdy House, offering a gorgeous mountain view to the east and quick beach access to the west. Bienvenidos a Santiago!

Howdy Santiago office

The office is located in a densely packed and modern barrio filled with high-rises, boutique shops, and restaurants. Centuries-old architecture remains intact around the district, but many of the old buildings have been renovated to accommodate a growing population of business professionals in the city. It’s common to see office workers walking through the pedestrian-friendly neighborhood as they sip on a morning mate or coffee.

Tech professionals at desk

Inside the office, the team usually gathers around the shared workspace, which has room for more than a dozen team members to post up and get some work done. Several large-screen TVs are available to share insights and review data as a group, in addition to being equipped for international video conferencing with partners or other Howdy offices.

Just down the hall are two private conference rooms ideal for interviewing candidates, reviewing roadmap updates, and running quality assurance tests. The conference rooms get natural light and are great when team members need to focus on a project or get some isolation from the rest of the team to meet a deadline.

It’s hardly a visit to the Chilean Howdy House without saying hi to Bubby, the beloved office pet of Santiago. While the supremely pettable pooch doesn’t contribute much to software development, sales, or marketing, he knows how to lift spirits and bring a smile to everyone’s face.

The lounge area is ideal for unwinding, grabbing a snack, or just unplugging from the workstation to get a change of pace. The comfy couches and chairs are surrounded by bits of artwork and Polaroid memories from group outings. Many mid-day energy refreshes come from rematches against rival table tennis champions.

Howdy maintains a very high standard for tech professionals, and while the Santiago house isn’t the largest of our locations, it’s full of incredibly diligent and talented team members who strive to provide US businesses with LatAm-based solutions every day. In addition to enjoying weekly meals at the office together, the team also grows their skill sets together by attending conferences and professional development courses several times a year.
